PCC Migrant Cell demands implementation of package

JAMMU, Feb 1: A meeting of PCC Migrant Cell was held here today under the leadership of M N Pandita its vice chairman in which various problems of the migrants were discussed.
Addressing the meeting Pandita demanded that Government should come with details regarding the filling up of 3000 posts for migrants under PM’s package.
He demanded that posts be divided among all departments and also in Secretariat services besides special age relaxation be given for over-aged youth.
He also demanded launching of special employment drive for migrants in Jagti camp and other camps as well as non camp areas. Besides three townships be constructed for settlement of migrants in Valley, he added.
Addressing the meeting Ghulam Qadir Bhat convener of the Cell demanded immediate release of cash assistance and ration to migrants in view of Maha Shivratri festival. He said the delaying the release of ration and relief for last some months has generated a lot of resentment among migrants. Further he demanded enhancement of cash relief to Rs 20000 per month per family.
The meeting was addressed by C L Raina, Kiran Raina, Bansi Lal Raina general secretaries of the Cell, M L Labroo, Ramesh Kumar, secretaries and Avtar Krishan and others.
