JAMMU, Oct 14: New Age Degree College, Billawar studded Government Degree College Billawar, and claimed the title trophy of Kabaddi Championship organised by District Police Kathua under Civic action programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Billawar.
On the concluding day, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kathua, ZN Manhas, was the chief guest, who distributed prizes amongst the winner and runner up teams.
The winner team of the competition New Age Degree College was rewarded with trophy, medals, cash prize of Rs 5000 and certificates, while, runner up team was Government Degree College was awarded with trophy, medals, certificates and cash prize of Rs 3000.
Earlier, SDM, Billawar, declared the tournament open, who while speaking, impressed upon the students to participate in the sports activities.
Among others present were SDPO, Basohli, Rafiq Manhas, SHO, Billawar Inspector Bhushan Singh Manhas, police officers, local populace and sports lovers.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of SDPO, Basohli, Rafiq Manhas, in which 14 teams from different colleges, schools and villages participated.
