Exam fever

Sir,
Come February and March, and it is examination time in the country. During this time, students  usually suffer from Exam Anxiety Disorder.
A lot of students go through this stage so one should not feel that  he is the only person who  faces it. This fever manifests in the form of stomache, nausea, increased heart rate; excessive sweating and severe headaches. Emotional symptoms such as the mind going blank, lack of concentration, inability to organize, exam apprehension, fear of failure and low self-esteem and so on. This in turn leads to sadness, anger, depression, severe anxiety, panic attacks.
The students usually suffer  from this disorder because parents put  pressure on their  wards to excel in the exams. If somehow the child  does not  succeed then he feels depressed and his morale also gets affected. Some students become withdrawn, cranky, irrititable and throw tantrums. Some are not able to tolerate it and get addicted to drugs.
To avoid it, it is necessary that students plan very well in the beginning, and parents  avoid having great  expectations.
Yours etc…
