JAMMU, Mar 1: In response to its nationwide call for protest against the attack and killing of RSS, BJP and ABVP workers by Communists in Kerala under the patronage of Leftist Government in the State, the activists of Nagrik Manch took to streets at different places in Jammu province and registered their strong resentment against it.
In Jammu the protest was held in front of statue of former Ruler of the State, Maharaja Hari Singh on Tawi bridge under the leadership of Ram Paul Sharma convener, Nagrik Manch Jammu.
The protesters with pla -cards in their hands were shouting slogans against the Leftist Government of Kerala which they alleged has let loose a reign of terror in the State against the BJP, RSS, ABVP and other Hindu and nationalist organizations.
They also sent a memorandum to president of India demanding dismissal of Kerala Government in view of its role against the patriotic and nationalist people in the State.
They alleged that a large number of activists of BJP, RSS, ABVP and other Hindu organizations and their sympathizers were killed in Kerala during the period of present Government in the State which is not tolerable.
They demanded action under law against the law breakers who want to break the nation. They said that their designs will not be allowed to succeed as the country has awaken now and these people are on last legs.
The prominent leaders of RSS, BJP, VHP and other social organisations who joined it included State president VHP, Leela Karan Sharma, BJP State president Sat Sharma, MLA Rajesh Gupta, MLC Ramesh Arora, BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul, Party vice president, Yudhvir Sethi, RSS leader, Parshotam Dadichi, Sanatan Dharam Sabha representative Prabhat Singh and RSS leader Avtar Krishan Trakroo.
At Reasi the RSS activists also staged a demonstration against the killing of its activists by Leftists under the banner of Nagrik Manch Reasi. The RSS activists assembled at Chowk Chabutra Reasi and launched peaceful protest. The protest march passed through main markets and culminated at DC Office, Reasi.
Speaking on the occasion, district Sangchalak of RSS Reasi Kuldeep Pandoh said ever since the CPI (M) Government came to power in Kerala 12 activists of RSS were murdered by the Party activists. He said CPI (M) believes in finishing off its opponents.
Another protest was held at Rajouri. The protestors carrying banners and pla-cards in their hands demanded capital punishments for all those involved in recent violence in Kerala and killing of the activists of RSS.
The protest was led by the chairman Nagrik Manch Rajouri Hardev Raj Verma. The dharna was also joined by BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta, MLC.
