JAMMU, Mar 3: A man was killed while another injured in two separate road mishaps share today in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a speeding truck bearing registration number JK02L-4624 this evening hit a bike number JK02S-8326 near Military Hospital Satwari, resulting into on the spot death of the bike rider, who was identified as Ramesh Kumar son of Raj Kumar, a resident of Khandwal (Chattha).
“The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary of the hospital for autopsy while a case in this connection was registered at police station Satwari and investigation started”, he added.
He said that another mishap occurred at Gagian in RS Pura where a mini-bus hit a car and injured its driver namely Rattan Lal son of Sant Ram, of ward No 10, RS Pura. “The injured car driver was shifted to CHC RS Pura for treatment and a case in this connection was registered at police station RS Pura”, the spokesman added.
