Trained under BADP, 14 border youth make it to CRPF, ITBP

JAMMU, Mar 4: Fourteen youth of border blocks of Jammu district, who were undergoing training in the skill development centres run by Jammu district administration, have made it to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
The results of the recruitment were announced yesterday by Border Security Force Jammu, which was the common recruiting agency for the Central Police Organizations.
Twenty four boys had appeared in the recruitment from border centres named as Centre for Border Youth Training and Empowerment (C-BYTE) by the Jammu district administration. Out of these 24 boys, seven made it to CRPF and seven to ITBP.
It is pertinent to mention that these centres are run in six border blocks-Arnia, Suchetgarh, Marh, Mandal, Pargwal and Khour under the Border Area Development Programme.
The centres were started on January 1, 2016 and so far 70 selections have taken place in different security forces. Forty out of these have got recruited in Army alone.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh has congratulated the boys who got selected and wished them good luck in their future endeavors.
