JAMMU, Mar 7: Ek Sath Rang Mandal presented it’s 237th Theatre under Monday Theatre Series with Balram Saine and Vijay Malla ‘s Police Bhurti at K.L.Saighal Hall Abhinav Theatre in short play festival organised by Smooh Theatre Jammu.
A satire comedy on our present system . favourtism in recruitment. hidden social evils of the society were the main issues of this play.
The story of the play goes as this. A newly I P S Officer is ordered by his senior officer to take care of candidates’ list given to him as they are from the Constituency of C.M. I P S Officer is a honest police officer who believes in commitment to his duty. He takes the list and keeps in his pocket carelessly. Recruitment is finalized and senior officer asks I P S Officer what he has done to the list given by C.M. The I P S Officer replies that he has not checked the list and it is still in my pocket untouched.
“Why you have not done it” asks senior officer ? The IPS Officer replied that he could not do injustice to deserving candidates so he never cares for such kind of recommendations. Later the I P S Officer is summoned by C.M and asked for clarification. Knowing his views and principals C.M has all praises for the I P S Officer saying that such great and honest officers are need of this system.
In the end of the play valuable advise was given to young generation that they should never forget their traditions customs and mother tongue.
A large number of people witnessed the play. Rafiq Musoodi former secretary Academy of Art Culture and Languages J&K and DG DD was the chief guest who appreciated the performance.
Actors who acted were Anuroop Pathania, Qurat ul Ain, Prabhal Sharma and Mohit.
The play was directed by Anuroop Pathania and Prabhal Sharma.
