Sheep, wool workers project demands

JAMMU, Mar 7:  A deputation of  the employees from Sheep Husbandry Department met the Commissioner/ Secretary for Animal/ Sheep Husbandry and projected their issues here today.
The employees under the banner of All J&K Sheep & Wool Workers Association led by Ashok Badyal, president provincial body Jammu and Gulzar Rather, president  Kashmir unit met the Commissioner/ Secretary in his office chamber here today and submitted a memorandum.  They also discussed various problems being faced by the employees of the department.
The main demands included  time bound promotions, clearance of  all the pending insitu promotion cases of all the Non-Gazetted staff members, ownership rights of Govt rams to the breeders whom the rams are issued on permanent basis after getting 50 % cost (subsidy), after they keep the same for three years continuously, two and half days extra pay to the field staff especially those working in Sheep breeding farms, enhancement of rent of sheep centres  and cadre review of ASM.
The Secretary gave patient hearing  to the delegation and assured for an early redressal of their genuine issues.
