REASI, Mar 8: Alleged harassment by her in-laws, forced a young housewife to attempt suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at village Thandi Kassi in Rajouri, here today.
The victim, identified as Sonika Sharma (30), wife of Suresh Kumar, consumed some poisonous substance at the house of her in-laws and fell unconscious. The family members rushed her to District Hospital Rajouri where doctors referred her to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu in view of her critical condition.
Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
