Revenue Officers Association calls on Veeri

JAMMU, Mar 8:  Minister for Revenue, Relief , Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Abdul Rehman Veeri today asked the officers to work with missionary zeal for the benefit of the all sections of the society.
Minister was interacting with a deputation of All J&K Revenue Officers Association (2009 batch) who had called on him at his office here.
The Minister directed officers and field staff to adhere to timeline in issuance of certificates and documents like Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), Reserve Category Certificate, Dependent Certificate, Income Certificate, Fard Intikhab, Extract of Girdawari, Extract of Massavi, Extract of Jamabandi, Attestation of Mutation, Marriage certificate and other related documents.
He said that the department is contemplating to organize a one-day conference of Tehsildar, Naib-Tehsildar level officers where they can have interaction with experienced officers of the department at higher level.
“It would provide a platform to both sides to present their viewpoint across,” he told the deputation.
The deputation led by its President Rajesh Baru presented a charter of demands to the Minister and raised number of issues pertaining to their service in particular and department in general.
The major demands highlighted by the delegation include shortage of staff in newly created units, availability of requisite accommodation and vehicles for revenue officers, rationalization of transfer policy for Revenue Department keeping in view the topography of the State, time frame release of salary, extra two and half day salary for revenue officers and officials due to their hectic job chart, confirmation of In-charge and Look After Tehsildars and many other issues related to revenue, relief and rehabilitation.
The Minister assured the Association that all demands and issues would be appropriately addressed.
