JAMMU, Mar 21: Police arrested two persons along with illicit timber.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Gandoh police station conducted raid in Chilly area and seized 14 logs and 25 sleepers of timber.
Police also arrested two persons, who have been identified as Mohammad Ayoub, son of Mohammad Sharif and Mohammad Abbas, son of Abdul Aziz.
A case under FIR Number 20/17 under Section 6 Forest Act and 379 RPC has been registered at police station Gandoh and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandoh police station Inspector Tahir made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Sunny Gupta and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
