REASI: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda today said that the Government has adopted people centric approach which can be gauged from the enthusiasm and confidence reposed by the common in its policies and development plans.
He said that regular feedback and positive response to the grievances of people dwelling in each nook and corner of the State has strengthened the people’s confidence in the working of the government.
The Minister was speaking at public grievance redressal camp here at Panasa. A large number of local people and adjioning Dasanu and other areas were present at the camp and raised their problems and development issues.
Responding to the demands, Ajay Nanda sanctioned 63 KV transformer for Dasanu and 25 KV for Panasa out of his CDF. Augmentation of power scenario was a long pending demand of the people of the twin villages.
Meanwhile, the Minister also assured to the people that a separate link road for Shamsham Ghat at Dasanu would be sanctioned soon.
Among others the Minister was accompanied by Tehsildar Reasi Rajesh Attri, Dy SP Mujeeb-ul-Rehman, Executive Engineer PMGSY, AEEs, TSO and other officers.
The Minister instructed the Executive Engineer to accelerate the pace of work on the PMGSY road being constructed in the Panasa area. Tehsildar Reasi was asked to resolve the issues related to crop loss, whileas AEE Irrigation was directed to construct Kuls to augment irrigation.
He also asked other officers to conduct regular visits to the areas and resolve all genuine issues of locals. He sought cooperation of the local people in making the villages free from the menace of open defecation.
The Minister said there was a time when people would run from one offices to other to seek redressal of their issues but now the government is reaching out to every area to take stock of the problems of the people at their doorsteps. He said the people should come out of their homes to take advantage of such pro-people approach and policies of the government.
“This dispensation is focusing on equitable development of all sections of the society and has launched various flagship programmes” he asserted.
The people apprised the Minister about issues of drinking water and power supply, revenue matters, road repairs, adequate supply of ration etc.
Referring to the development projects initiated in the district Reasi in particular and across the state, the Minister said the present government believes in action and not in hollow slogans. He further said common masses are the best judges for making the assessment of the development being made at various fronts since the present regime took over.
