Five bovines rescued

JAMMU, Mar 23: Domana police foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 5 bovine animals.
According to a police spokesman, on a specific information a police team from police station Domana led by SHO, RS Rana, laid a surprise naka at Sangrampur, late last night. During the course of checking, police signaled a Tata Mobile bearing registration No JK02BE-0692 to stop. However, the driver accelerated the vehicle but the alert police team chased the vehicle and found the vehicle abandoned by the accused driver at some distance.
“On checking of the vehicle, five bovine animals were found loaded in the Tata Mobile”, the spokesman said, adding, the bovines were rescued and the vehicle was seized by the police. In this connection, a case has been registered at police station Domana and investigation taken up.
