JAMMU, Mar 23: Samba police has arrested one drug peddler and recovered four KGs of poppy straw from his possession.
According to police in continuous drive launched by the District Police Samba against the drug menace Police Party of Police Station Samba under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs. Samba and overall supervision of SSP Samba a naka was laid near Polytechnic College Samba today. During the naka checking a scooty bearing Registration No. 7229/JK-21B driven by Mohan Singh S/O Dhanther Singh R/O Markoli Tehsil Samba was intercepted and the said police party recovered four KG of Poppy Straw from the possession of scooty Rider.
The Police Party instantly arrested him besides seized the contraband item. In this regard a case FIR No. 59/2017 U/S 8/15NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Samba and investigation in going on.
