SRS for probe into illegal settlement of Rohingyas, Bangladeshis

JAMMU, Mar 24: Expressing serious concern over the managing of vital documents by Rohingyas and Bangladeshis residing in Jammu region from Government departments to justify their illegal stay, State president Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Rajiv Mahajan asked the State Government to weed out corrupt officials and take strict action against them.
“Jammu and Kashmir State has suffered a lot on account of accountability, corruption and inefficiency,” Rajiv said in a statement issued here today and asked the PDP-BJP alliance to take certain corrective measures to curb corruption in the State.
He said that the State Government had admitted on the floor of the Assembly that there were about 5,000 Rohingyas and Bangladeshi immigrants who had been unlawfully settled in clusters along the outskirts of Jammu city and Samba.
He said it is shocking that Rohingyas and Bangladeshis residing in Jammu region have reportedly managed vital documents like Aadhaar, voter and ration cards besides fake State Subject certificates. He demanded strict action against them, besides deporting them to their country.
