SRINAGAR, Mar 25: Describing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as an opportunity for the people to defeat the fascist forces in the country, Pradesh Congress Committee president, GA Mir, urged upon the people to ensure the victory of Congress- NC candidates as their victory amounts to win of secular and unifying force in the State.
Addressing series of joint Cong-NC elections meetings in Shangus and Khanabal today, Mir said this is the high time for the electorates to decide their future which is in jeopardy due to the hidden communal agenda of PDP- BJP.
Mir, who is contesting from Anantnag LS seat, cautioned the people to remain vigilant as the attempts are being made to divide people to secure votes on the part of PDP, but at the same time, he felt confident that people will not vote for PDP now, as this Party has already betrayed and backstabbed them in 2014 t by aligning with BJP. “PDP sacrificed it’s ideology for the sake of power and did not even care about emotions of the people, who voted for them to defeat the RSS from implementing it communal agenda in the State,” Mir said.
He said the unholy alliance between these two parties for the sake of power disturbed the socio-political scenario in the State, as a result, the people are feeling unsafe and threatened. He cautioned against the designs of PDP -BJP coalition, which is being run through remote control from RSS headquarter.
Cong leader appealed the people to ensure the victory of INC -NC candidates, as that will be the massive defeat to forces hell bent upon to damage the secular fabric, age old tradition of brotherhood in the State.
Addressing the joint meetings former minister Taj Mohi- Ud- Din, MLA Shangus Gulzar Ahmad Wani, MLC Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Hilal Ahmad Shah exhorted the people to ensure the victory of Congress candidate GA Mir, for the fact, he is capable enough to fight against divisive politics anti-people, wrong policies on the part of ruling dispensation, which is responsible for damages caused to life and property in Valley.
They said PDP has lost credibility in Kashmir and it will lose both Lok Sabha seats to INC- NC Candidates, Dr Frooq Abdullah and GA Mir.
