JAMMU, Mar 25: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan performed its 149th  Saturday Series  Dogri Musical Play “Sari Sanskriti” in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production Jammu and also celebrated its 12th Foundation  Day here today with funfair.
The day also commemorated as “World Theatre Day”. The chief guest, V K Magotra, inaugurated the Musical Play with lighting   of traditional lamp  in presence of a  galaxy of  distinguished guests Namely Tara Singh Charak,  Madan Lal Kalotra, Dr Anju Kumari Dogra and others. The music was composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor of BLSKS.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers  in making the musical play colorful, effective and result oriented. Theme wise  contents to promote love & peace   as  advocated by the stalwarts of theatre, National Unity & Communal Harmony, Indian Democracy etc. were the main   highlights of the cultural program presented by renowned artists of the State  namely,  Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, M C Kotwal, K K Joshi and Hem Raj enthralled  the audience by singing  melodious songs.
Welcoming the audience BLSKS chairman M L Dogra, said the World Theatre Day was initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute . It is celebrated annually on the 27th March by ITI Centres and the international theatre community. He said the organization has so far  organized  over 1200 awareness  cum cultural programs in far-flung pockets of the State as well as outside. The BLSKS presented more than 140  musical plays  during the year.
The chief guest presented mementos to the best performers of the  Institute and books written by M L Dogra on the occasion. Besides above the other  artists who participated in the program were Usha Handoo, KK Joshi, Renu Saproo,  Sunil Kumar, Sonu Gupta, Sahil, Rajeev Salotra, Sumita  Bhat, Ananya, Sawyam, Bindiya, Ravi Kumar, Manjeet,  Shaan Khan, Hem Raj, Krishna, Sant Das, Ujwal Sharma, Aryan Verma, Ajay, Surinder  Verma, Rahul, Imtaaz, Bhumika Chib,  Neelam Chib,  Deevam Jandiyal and Rakshit Sharma. Deepak Kumar Dogra presented vote of thanks.
