JAMMU, Mar 26: A joint meeting of management committee Gurudwara Baba Chanda Singh ji, management committee, Gurudwara Charan Kamal Asthan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Ser Manjila, Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee, Nirvair Social organization and Virasat-e-Khalsa Sambal Society was held under the presidium of S Sukhbir Singh, S Mohan Singh and Comrade Sukhdev Singh strongly condemned the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee at Khampur Sarai District Budgam Kashmir and demanded the arrest of those responsible for desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee.
The participants strongly condemned the sacrilegious incidents where some miscreants broke the lock, entered in the Gurudwara Sahib Khampur and stole the money from money box (Golak) and disrespected Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee. The participants appealed the Government to take action against the offenders and provide justice to the minority community. They further appealed the Government to ensure the proper security of minority communities and sought directions for the concerned police authorities in this regard. Further the penalty needs to be increased for sacrilege upto life imprisonment on the same analogy of Punjab Government.
Mohan Singh Baghi, Kulvinder Singh, Ujjagar Singh, Brig Rajinder Singh, Ishpal Singh, Surinder Singh Shinda, Jagbir Singh, Jadgeep Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Shahbaz Singh, Parveen Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Surjeet Singh, Inderpal Singh, Dupinder Singh were also present on the occasion.
