Vote for development, peace

Sir,
In the State,  bi-election for two parliamentary constituencies is gaining tempo day after day. The main fight is between PDP and National Conference Congress alliance. Hurriyat leaders have given boycott call this time also to prevent people from participating in democratic process of the country. Till date people of the State have by and large ignored the separatists and have exercised voting rights in almost all the elections of the State. People are free to vote which is their fundamanetal right. Today it is a scientific age. People judge through the prism of logic and reason. They want development employment and security. It is a sad state of affairs that some politicians seek votes by inciting people with communal sentiments. These politicians stoop so low in creating communal divide with the sole aim to secure votes in their favour. Speaking anti-national language in the election campaigns is a dangerous trend. On the one hand we take oath for upholding unity and sovereignty of the country and  on the other hand we support separatists.
This double standard policy can not  befool people any longer more. The Election Commission of India which is the highest authority  to conduct elections in the country should debar such people from the contest. Polarisation of politics in any form will have its adverse effect and the onus lies on the electorate to decide  whether to vote man of integrity or the one who seeks only personal glorification. People are the source of power. This is a golden opportunity for them to elect the right candidate who can raise their burning problems in  Parliament than to befool them  by hollow slogans.
Yours etc…
