CWLU hold meet, highlights demands

KISHTWAR, Oct 15: Construction Workers Labour Union (CWLU), Dulhasti Power Station (DPS), held a meeting under the chairmanship of its patron JL Parihar.
While speaking, Tanveer Ahmed Naqib and Susheel Kumar, general secretary, took serious notice against failure of management of DPS against non-implementation of labour laws in respect of workers engaged on perennial work in the power station through contractors.
They demanded immediate redressal of their genuine issues including payment of wages announced by the appropriate authority for CPSU, issue of identity cards, coverage of all workers under ESI scheme, issue of wages slip, issue of EPF statement, etc.
In the meeting it was unanimously announced that if management failed to implement the issues, union would adopt agitational path.
