SAMBA, Mar 27: In its continuous drive against the drug menace, district Special Branch Samba in collaboration with Police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO Vijaypur Inspector Suraj Pathania under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Abhishek Sharma and on the directives of SSP Samba Anil Magotra has recovered 476 capsules of Spm- Prx Plus.
Police said on some specific information it laid a surprise naka near Railway Station Vijaypur and nabbed the one person namely Vishal Sharma S/o Darshan Kumar R/o Ghagwal who was going on bike bearing registration No. JK21-A 3855 (Bullet)near Railway Station area of Vijaypur . The police intercepted the bike and after frisking the biker it recovered the banned drug from his possession . He was apprehended on spot besides seizing the motor cycle. In this connection a case FIR No. 62/2017 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation is going on.
Similarly in another joint action of district Special Branch Samba in collaboration with Police party of Police Station Vijaypur laid a surprise naka at Swankha Morah on NHW area and nabbed one person namely Joginder Singh alias Kanta S/o Gulab Singh Pader Sardar R/o Swankha Morh and recovered two challies of charas weighing 130gms. In this regard case FIR No. 39/2017 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation is going on.
In its drive against the distillation of illicit liquor and its sale, District Special Branch Samba in collaboration with Police party led by SHO Police Station Ghagwal under the supervision with Dy. SP Hqrs Samba and on the directives of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba conducted raid at Village Dessian and apprehended one Parshotam Singh Lalotra age 40/42 years S/o Jaimal Singh at his home and recovered 10 litre of desi liquor, beside20 liters of Lahan as well as the other material for preparing illicit liquor also been recovered and seized on spot from the said person .
The Police Party instantly arrested him and in this regard a case FIR No. 30/2017 U/S 48 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Ghagwal and investigation in going on.
In its continuous drive against the drug menace, district Special Branch Samba in collaboration with police party of Police Station Bari Brahmana under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahman and overall supervision of SSP Samba Anil Magotra a drug peddler was arrested and a large quantity of banned drugs was recovered from him.
Police said it conducted the raid at village Bari of Smailpur area of Bari Brahmana and apprehended one person namely Zaheer Abas S/o Mohd. Sharif R/o W.No. 04 A/P Bathindi Jammu and recovered 610 intoxicated capsules of Clavidol, 09 injection of Pramsliv, 30 tablets of Prilamlive 05 and 14 tablets of Macdol Fort which he used to sell to the drug addicted persons illegally.
Police said earlier also search efforts were made to nab the said drug peddler but he could manage his escape. In this connection a case FIR No. 62/2017 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation is going on.
