JAMMU, Mar 27: Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Reasi Kamlesh Pandita today rejected the bail application of Shabir Ahmed and Mir Husain, who were allegedly involved in kidnapping case.
After hearing both the sides, CJM observed, “now a days the offences against the women are rising day by day. The offences against the women are not considered to be only the offence against the individual but against the civilized society”, adding “no member of a society can afford to conceive the idea that can create hollow in the honour of a woman”.
“While dealing with the bail applications, no roving or thorough enquiry is required except the reasonable grounds emanating during investigation. Such exercise can be done by the court at the time of charge/dis-charge”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
