MENDHAR, Mar 28: The people from Harni area of Mendhar Sub Division in Poonch today held strong protest against the BSNL authorities here today.
A large number of people from Harni and about half a dozen adjoining villages/ hamlets assembled at Mendhar-Harni-Surankote road at around 11.30 am and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against DC Poonch, local administration and BSNL authorities. They pointed out that Telephone Exchange at Harni is lying out of order since long and concerned officials despite repeated requests have failed to restore services. Many villages and hamlets in the area are suffering due to neglect of the BSNL authorities and inaction on the part of District Administration. After holding protest for about an hour the villagers dispersed.
