Red Cross organizes ‘First Aid’ awareness camp

JAMMU, Mar 30: Indian Red Cross Society organized a ‘First Aid’ awareness camp during a veterans’ rally organized by 25 Punjab Regiment under HQ 26 Infantry Division at village Molu (Pargal).
A large number of Ex- servicemen, widows and their families from Pargwal, Khour, Akhnoor and Domana areas participated in the rally as well as medical camp. More than 200 persons including youth and women participated in the medical camp and were imparted ‘First Aid’ awareness.
The ‘First Aid’ awareness training was imparted by the Senior Consultants viz. Dr Rajinder Thappa and Dr Simriti assisted by Vironica Marwah, Field Officer, Tripta Devi, LHV, Kanchan Devi, Sup Pharmacist of Red Cross.
Earlier, Brig BS Bisht inaugurated the camp in presence of RC Puri, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region. Col Kumar Anand, Commanding Officer, while speaking on the occasion appreciated the support extended by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu for the first aid awareness programme.
