Shat Chandi Maha Yagya concludes at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine

KATRA, Apr 4: Shat Chandi Maha Yagya organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board at the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji during Navratras for peace and prosperity concluded today with Purna Ahuti on the auspicious occasion of Ramanavami.
Besides senior officers and staff of the Shrine Board, a large number of pilgrims participated in Purna Ahuti and other religious ceremonies performed amidst Vedic Mantras on the occasion. A group of 27 pandits led by Prof. Vishwamurti Shastri performed the Maha Yagya.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board, stated that during Navratras the Bhawan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji, Atka and the area surrounding were specially decorated with flowers brought from various parts of the country and abroad. The Shrine Board had also made elaborate arrangements for the pilgrims who visited the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji during Navratras.
All the routes leading to the Holy Cave Shrine were fully maintained for smooth movement of pilgrims, besides ensuring sufficient supplies of provisions, food, etc. along the track. A special sanitation drive was also launched on the track and in the Bhawan area for ensuring utmost sanitation and cleanliness. He added that this cleanliness drive was in addition to the normal sanitation activities of the Shrine Board which include maintaining sanitation along the entire track and various establishments of the Shrine Board.
The pilgrims visiting the Holy Cave Shrine lauded the arrangements made by the Shrine Board for their facilitation. They were highly appreciative of the decoration of the Bhawan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji, Atka and the area surrounding with flowers brought from various parts of the country and abroad.
