JAMMU, Apr 4: Mystery shrouds the death of a youth who was today found dead near JDA Complex, Bahu Plaza.
According to a police spokesman, the dead body of an unknown youth was spotted this morning by some passersby near JDA Complex, under mysterious circumstances. He said that the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
“Late in the evening, the deceased was identified as Ishrat Qureshi (21) son of Mushtaq Qureshi, resident of Poonch”, the spokesman said, adding, the youth was a student of MAM College and was presently residing in Jammu.
He said that in this connection Trikuta Nagar police have initiated inquest proceedings under 174 Cr PC. The post mortem on the body will be conducted tomorrow, he added.
