JAMMU, Apr 4: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) started 72-hour dharna demanding “Shrine Board for Bawe Wali Mata” here today at opposite DIC Office Press Club Jammu.
President Bahu Fort Development Committee Kr Rajeev Charak said due permission was obtained from the administration for holding dharna at Maharaja Hari Singh Chowk, Tawi bridge but the police did not allow which forced them to shift venue of dharna. He strongly condemned this attitude of district administration.
While addressing, Rajeev Charak said, “we have been demanding Shrine Board for Mata Maha Kali Temple for developing facilities as well as Bawe Wali Mata Temple since 1997 but the all successive Governments have so far paid no heed to the matter.
Charak said that we have continuously receiving huge support from other social organizations like Kranti Dal, Shri Ram Sena, Charak Biradari, Saryara Sabha and has appealed all other organizations and unions such as Chamber of Commerce, Bar Association, Taxi Unions, Auto Unions, Transporters, Businessmen etc to come forward to support for this noble cause.
Charak said that one young boy named Sumeet Gupta was individually supporting this cause and will ride on a bike to Delhi waving and holding a banner demanding Shrine Board. He will be flagged off by BFDC early in the morning tomorrow.
Kranti Dal President Pritam Sharma, Karnail Chand General Secretary Shri Ragunath Ji Mandir Sewa Samiti and Kher Singh also spoke on the occasion. Hardesh Khokher vice president BFDC has done proceedings on the first day of dharna.
Ishant Gupta Spokesman BFDC said that we have launched hashtag #shrineboard4bawetemple, which will help to gather support for Shrine globally. He appealed people to post their views and video massages on social media regarding constitution of shrine board for bawe wali mata temple using #shrineboard4bawetemple. Raghav Mahajan General Secretary BFDC appealed devotees and general people of Jammu to participate in dharna in support of shrine board.
