JAMMU, Apr 6: Agitated over the forcible removal of the Bill Boards of JKNPP seeking deportation of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis, the Panthers party activists today held a massive demonstration outside the office of Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu.
The angry protesters raised slogans against Dy CM Nirmal Singh, H&UD Department and Municipal Corporation accusing them of resorting to force and coercion to silence the voice of Jammu region. JKNPP activists who assembled outside the Municipal Corporation office at 10 am, amid “Save Jammu, save Dogras” slogans accused the Municipal Corporation Jammu of playing in the hands of corrupt politicians and vested interests.
Speaking on the occasion Rajesh Padgotra, provincial president JKNPP cautioned the Government to refrain from knee-jerk reactions to curb the uprising movement in Jammu against the illegal immigrants settled in Jammu. He said that the Panthers movement against anti-national elements and illegal immigrants especially the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis shall intensify in the coming days in case the Government did not take concrete steps for their eviction and deportation. Flaying the Municipal Corporation for forcible removal of JKNPP’s Bill Boards at BJP’s behest despite the advertisement space having been purchased by the party under an agreement, Rajesh Padgotra cautioned that concerned authorities will have to pay and compensate the party through their nose in case the Bill Board was not restored.
