One drowns, another injured as Santro plunges into nullah

JAMMU, Apr 6: A person was drowned, while a manager of a petrol pump received serious injuries, when the Santro car they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into over flooded Neeru nullah near Pranoo, falling under the jurisdiction of Bhaderwah police station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-4683 was on its way to Bhaderwah from Pul Doda, when the driver lost control over the car and it plunged into Neeru Nullah near Pranoo, resulting into serious injuries to the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals rescued the driver of the car, while his associate could not be traced out, when last reports came in.
The injured driver identified as Kulbir Singh (manager of a petrol pump at Domail, Bhaderwah), son of Desh Raj of Narnoo Kulsari, Bhaderwah has been shifted to District Hospital Doda, while rescue operation was carried out to trace out his associate, who has been identified as Balbir Singh, son of Jassarat Singh of Kulsari, Bhaderwah.
The rescue operation was halted due to bad weather condition and it is assumed that Balbir Singh might have got drowned in the Neeru nullah, which was over flooded due to heavy rains today.
A case under FIR Number 37/17 under Section 279 and 304-A has been registered at police station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
