Sir,
A demand has been projected by the certain organizations and NGOs through print media for setting up of Shrine Board in respect of Kali Mata Temple (Bawe Wali Mata) at Bahu Fort. The demand is genuine one and is supported by the whole Dogra community. So many Governments have changed but each Govt neglected this temple. Due to absence of the shrine board, no worthwhile development has taken place of this historic temple. Not even a single construction /repair has been done in the temple premises. The adjoining buildings are in deplorable condition and are at the verge of collapse. A regular langar is being organized in the temple premises but there is no proper kitchen and a place for serving langar. The pilgrims have to take the langar parshad in standing mode which speaks volumes about poor and rustic traditions and insult to the holy place. This can be gauged from the present situation that food stuff and disposable items are thrown in the open and remain scattered for hours. This practice attracts nuisance of monkeys and flies.
If the Shrine Board is constituted on the lines of Mata Vaishno Devi, there would be all round development of the temple including its premises and it would also be eco-friendly. The donations would be properly accounted for, audited and utilized for the development of temple premises. Surely, the temple would attract a good number of tourists followed by generation of revenue for the temple. I earnestly request the concerned authorities to constitute a Shrine Board under the banner of ‘Bawe wali Mata’, and this would be real obeisance to the Goddess Bawe Wali Mata who have millions of devotees .
Yours etc…
