DODA, Apr 7: An 18-year-old girl was critically injured when she allegedly shot herself with 12 bore rifle here at Bharaswana in village Mohalla.
“A young girl namely Moniza daughter of Ghulam Mohd, resident of Bharaswana, received critical abdomen injury last evening when she allegedly shot herself at her residence with 12 bore rifle,” a police spokesman said.
He said that the victim was rushed to District Hospital Doda from where she was today referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was operated upon. “Her condition was stated to be stable but she was still not fit for statement”, he added.
A case in this connection was registered at police station Doda and further investigations were underway.
