Provincial Electric Employees Union highlights demands

JAMMU, Apr 7: Monthly meeting of Provincial Electric Employees Union, Jammu, was held, here today under the chairmanship of P C Sharma, president of the Union, for highlighting various demands and issues of the Electric employees
The meet highlighted the demands, such as retrospective effect to the already regularized daily wagers, amendment in PDD Service Recruitment Rules 381 of 1981, releasing of Technician grade to all ITI and equivalent it is in terms of SRO 149 of 1973, clarification regarding implementation of SRO-59, Diploma course for the employees on Government expenses, opening of new EM&RE Division with its headquarters at Basohli, regularization of daily wagers engaged after 1994 and amendment in PDD employees welfare scheme.
P C Sharma told the participants that series of meetings were going on with the Government on their demands. He appealed the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to fulfill their commitment on framing a policy for regularization of all daily wagers engaged in different departments.
“The Union is keenly watching the interests of PDD employees and if needed, we will go on agitational path for which Government would be solely responsible,” he warned.
The meeting was attended by Bishan Singh, Darshan Verma, Pawan Kumar, Ajit Singh, Rajan, Goswami, Janak Raj, Ashwani Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and others.
