REASI : In his ongoing efforts to reach to the common masses of rural areas and provide basic amenities at their doorstep, Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda today conducted an extensive tour of Dhana and Prana Drudh Katra area of district Reasi and listened public issues.
The Minister also announced 63 KV transformer for Dhana from his CDF to improve the power supply in the areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Nanda said that the Government is committed to provide better road connectivity, adequate drinking water, and power supply, strengthening and up lifting educational standards and infrastructure in rural areas.
He reviewed the pace of ongoing developmental works and also took stock of the grievances of the people.
He called upon the people to avail the benefits of central and state sponsored schemes implemented by different departments. Responding to various issues raised by locals, the Minister assured them of early redressal of all genuine demands.
Nanda reiterated that state Government has taken up several projects to improve road net work in all parts of the state which holds the key to socio economic development of the areas.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to redress problems of the people on priority and asked the field functionaries to create awareness among public about various schemes of their departments so that people from far flung areas can take benefits of these welfare programmes.
Officers of various departments, sarpanches, panches and senior citizens besides large number of people were present on the occasion.
