SRINAGAR, Apr 9: A group of students from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, who are on a visit to the Valley, called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.
Welcoming the group, the Chief Minister advised them to utilize their stay in the Valley in exploring its beauty and the hospitable nature of its residents. She also asked the students to visit various universities and interact with their counterparts.
Mehbooba Mufti suggested the students to visit the breathtaking Badam Vaeri which is full with blossoms of almonds, peach and cherry.
The Chief Minister asked the visiting students group to come out of the gory images created by some television channels about Kashmir. She said Kashmir is the safest place in the country for women to visit and asked the students to come here again with their families and friends.
Prof. Tasneem Meenai, Dean Students Welfare, is accompanying the students group during its trip to the Valley.
