JAMMU, Apr 9: Core Committee, Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) today unanimously nominated Rajveer Singh as its new State president.
Rajveer Singh was elected by 6 applicants for the post of president of YRS. It is pertinent to mention here that Core Committee of YRS is the supreme body of the Sabha and has 8 permanent members, who  include Raghubir Singh Sarpanch (Chairman), Rajinder Singh, Pushvinder Singh, Rakesh Singh alias Bablu, Shamsher Singh, Rajesh Singh, Ranjeet Singh and  Davinder Singh .
Later, YRS organized a function at Kashmir Hills Resort, Patta Paloura to formally announce new president of the Sabha. The function was attended by members of Rajput community, including women, youth and prominent dignitaries. Presidents of Charak Biradari, Manhas Biradari, Chib Biradari, Bhau Biradari, Langeh Biradari, etc., also attended the function, which was chaired by chairman of Sabha, Raghubir Singh and presided over by Rajinder Singh. The stage was handled by Pushvinder Singh and Rajveer Singh was coronated by the members of Core Committee jointly.  Surinder Singh Gilli (Ex-president, YRS) and other office bearers were also honoured by the core committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghubir Singh and Rajinder Singh reiterated that YRS shall touch new heights under the leadership of new team. He said that Rajput community has lots of hopes from the YRS and it is expected that Rajveer Singh shall deliver his best for the upliftment of the community.
On the occasion, Rajveer Singh further nominated his team, which included Mukesh Singh, Rajan Singh and Sohan Singh as vice-presidents, Advocate Daljit Singh & Varinder Partap Singh as general secretaries, Advocate Arjun Singh and Rohit Singh as joint secretaries.
