JAMMU, Apr 10: The daily rated and consolidated workers of Power Development Department (PDD), held protest demonstration at the office of Chief Engineer (M&RE) here today.
These hapless workers are on agitation for the last several months. They were sitting at Dharna at the office of SE, PDD Circle Railway Road Jammu. Earlier, they also held dharnas and protests outside the office of Development Commissioner Power at Janipur for some time.
Today, the works held strong protest in the office complex of Chief Engineer PDD (M&RE) at Bhagwati Nagar and shouted loud slogans in support of their demands. They were also raising slogans against PDD Minister (DyCM), Govt and the Chief Engineer PDD for not solving their pending issues.
They said that the poor workers are without wages since long and they are on agitation, seeking their regularization but Govt has remained unmoved. After holding protest demonstration, they and staged dharna in the office complex.
