DODA, Apr 11: An absconder, who was evading his arrest since long landed in police net.
As per police sources, a team from Gandoh Police Station conducted raid in Lathi Chenani area of District Udhampur and arrested an absconder, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ayoub, son of Mohammad Sharief Wani, a resident of Tilogra Milakpura Tehsil Chilli Pingal, District Doda.
He was involved in cases registered under FIR Numbers 24/17 under Section 420 RPC and 102/2007 under Sections 458, 386 and 397 RPC and 7/27 Arms Act and 121/14 under Section 379 RPC and 6 Forest Act. The Munsiff Court Gandoh had also issued arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC against the absconder.
Further investigation into the cases is going on and the said absconder will be produced in the court tomorrow.
Police team led by SHO Gandoh Inspector Tahir Yousif Khan and assisted by HC Diljeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh Sunny Gupta and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
