Govt ignoring minorities in J&K: Sikh bodies

JAMMU, Apr 11:  Various Sikh organizations have alleged that PDP-BJP Government was ignoring minorities in the State.
A  meeting was organized by Fateh Singh member DGPC Jammu at Gurdwara Singh Sabha,  Chatha Farm under the Chairmanship of  Amrik Singh advocate and former secretary  DGPC Jammu along with various Sikh organizations of the State including Sikh United Front, Shiromani Akali Dal, Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Society, AISSF, Sikh Naujawan Sabha and  Sikh Welfare Society. Some DGPC Jammu members  including Darbinder Singh,  Ramnik Singh and Raja Singh also attended.
Most of the speakers  criticized and condemned the J&K Govt for ignoring the minorities and grabbing their share. They said due to  non- presence of Minority Commission in the State, their share is not being provided to them fairly.  The share of the minorities is being used by the majority community.  They  demanded that PM  Narendra Modi should provide justice to the minorities in the State.
The meeting was organized on the directions of  Mahant Manjit Singh of  Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch to bring the unity among the Sikh masses and build the Sikh organizations strong at grass root level.  They observed that the Sikh organizations should be reorganized from block level to district and province/ state level.  The participants in the meeting unanimously passed the resolution and appealed the Sikh community to be united at one platform to fight and achieve the goal.
All the participants stressed for creating awareness against the drug menace  and save the youth from death and destruction.  The youths were advised to work for the betterment of Sikh community for their bright future.
