Anti-encroachment drive launched

SAMBA, Apr 18: The district administration Samba launched an anti encroachment drive today on the border road and removed various encroachments.
The drive was launched  on the directives of the DC and SSP Samba. Police said a team headed by SHO conducted the drive in the presence of ACR, Tehsidar and E.O Samba on the Samba- Sumb Road and Border Road from where the  encroachments made by the shopkeepers were removed.
It said during the campaign the encroachers were given the warning to desist from such practice in future. In addition to this all the unauthorized Reharis/Pharies were also removed from these areas. The objective of the campaign was to aware general public about sanitation, encroachments of footpaths/pavements, illegal constructions by encroaching lanes/drains/nallahs etc.
