Srinagar, Apr 21: A cordon and search operation was conducted by security forces in Wathoo village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police official said that security forces after receiving an input about the presence of militants cordoned off Wathoo village and launched searches.
He said as the searches were underway, locals came out of their houses and pelted stones on security forces, thus hampering the operation. The operation was later called off, the police official added.
