JAMMU, Apr 22: SHS Memorial Hospital, Rehari Chungi, organized a dental awareness camp by Dr Rohit Sharma (dental surgeon and Implantologist) at Unique Public School, Bharat Nagar, Rehari Colony.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Dr Simranpreet Singh, Managing Director and Administrator of SHS Memorial Hospital.
Around 200 students and staff of the school were given advice on maintaining oral hygiene. They were also made aware about nutritional content of different food items and effects of fast food on oral health and the measures to keep oral cavity healthy for a longer period.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Simranpreet Singh informed that SHS Memorial Hospital is organizing various camps from time to time in different specialties. He said that specialties available in the hospital include Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Urology, etc. her further informed that the hospital also provides discount in various surgeries and investigations to economical weaker sections of the society.
He also motivated the students by providing them free tooth brushes, pastes and mouthwashes samples. Principal of the school, Babita Jamwal and vice principal, Sudhir Sambyal, were also present during the camp.
