JAMMU, Apr 22: A waiter was today found dead under mysterious circumstances in a banquet hall in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the dead body of a waiter, who was identified as Vicky Kumar (17) son of Om Parkash, resident of Mathwar, was found this morning in the premises of Royal Retreat banquet hall at Hari Niwas.
He said that the body was noticed at about 7.30 am by the employees of the banquet hall, who informed the police. “The police reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after completing all medico-legal formalities, it was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, he added.
The spokesman said prima facie it appears that the man died due to fall from the building of the banquet hall but police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in the case.
