Srinagar, Apr 23: Army today said it organized medical- cum-awareness camps were organised at four different remote locations in Kashmir.
A defence spokesman said the camps conducted on Saturday at Wantu and Karlupura, were organized by Army camp located at Widdipura and treated 492 patients. “Medical camps were held at Larik Pura and Malpura, today, organised by Army Camps located at Larikpura (Anantnag) and SK Bala (Ganderbal) respectively treated 300 patients,” he said.
The spokesman said these camps were organised to provide medical assistance to people from far flung villages of Anantnag, Baramulla and Ganderbal district. “The camps were organised under supervision of doctors from Army and civil medical department including lady doctors,” he added.
The spokesman said a total of 792 patients including women and children benefited from these camps and were provided with free medicines, consultation and health education on personal hygiene, small family norms, nutrition, maternal and child care.
