JAMMU, Apr 24: Aggarwal Sabha has resolved that the Biradri members shall not accept cards and sweets for the social occasions like marriage etc.
A unanimous decision in this regard was taken during a general body meeting of Aggarwal Sabha Jammu & Kashmir, held today under the chairmanship of its president Dewan Chand Bansal at the Aggarwal Sabha.
In the meeting Anoop Mittal, general secretary of Aggarwal Sabha briefed the members regarding an ordinance issued by Government of J&K regarding guest control and evils of distribution of sweets etc with invitation cards.
The general body of Aggarwal Sabha called to ban invitation card, distribution of sweets and Shagun as it create an unnecessary competition among Biradari. The meet requested to members to adopt others means of communication like phone, text message, e-mail, WhatsApp, etc for making invitation.
All the members present in the meeting unanimously passed the resolution against invitation cards, sweets and Shagun, which shall be immediately banned by the Aggarwal Biradari. It was further requested to all the members of Aggarwal Biradari to implement the decision unanimously taken in the general body meeting of the Sabha.
The meet informed that now onwards, Aggarwal Biradri in J&K State shall not give or accept card and sweets.
The meeting was attended by Hardeep Aggarwal (vice president), Rajesh Bindal (secretary), Shambhu Aggarwal (treasurer) and senior members Jagdish Raj Aggarwal, Mahavir Parshad Aggarwal, Swatantar Aggarwal, Naresh Aggarwal, Sunil Aggarwal, Jatinder Aggarwal, Romy Aggarwal, Narinder, Sandeep, Pawan, G L Aggarwal, Umrao Parshad and others.
