UDHAMPUR, Apr 25: A Bakerwal died while his female relative and her three-year old son were injured when an unidentified vehicle hit the trio near DPS School on the By Pass National Highway Udhampur, here today.
The victims were walking on the road side when the vehicle hit them. Locals and police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu. Later one of the injured, identified as Mohamed Akhtar (25), son of Mohd. Nagor of Lakhanpur, Kathua , succumbed to his injuries.
The other two injured were identified as Arsha Begam (28), wife of Mohamed Rafiq of Lakhanpur and her 3- year old son Tanbir.
