JAMMU, Apr 27: The 110-kilometers Batote-Doda-Kishtwar highway has been thrown open for the vehicular movement from this afternoon.
“The road has been thrown open for vehicular traffic today and both light and heavy motor vehicles have been allowed to ply on the highway”, a senior police official said.
The highway got closed due to landslide at Kuligad area near Drabshalla during the intervening night of April 23 and 24.
With the opening of the highway, the residents of Kishtwar district also had a succor as the essential supplies including vegetables, fruits, ration, petrol and diesel reached the district.
However, the heli services remained affected due to the reason best known to the higher authorities of the district administration.
