JAMMU, Apr 27: A delegation of Kashmiri migrants from non camp area of Durga Nagar today called on Minister of Relief, Revenue and Rehabil-itation, Abdul Rehman Veeri and Minister of State for Revenue and Relief Ajay Nanda and submitted a memorandum to them.
The memorandum demanded smooth and proper working at Relief Commissioner’s Office, enhancement of cash relief from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per family, timely ration, medical facilities and insurance for migrant families, jobs and soft loans to educated and over aged youth, compensation for fruit growers, agriculturists and encroachment of land, holding of open darbar by concerned DCs at Jammu for redressal of grievances of migrants, cancellations of M Forms to make mass participation in elections and migrants be allowed to vote as per registration data available at RC’s Office.
The ministers assured that all the demands will be looked into as they are already under their consideration.
The delegation comprised of M L Bhat, Rohit Munshi, Satish Zutshi, Rakesh Kaul, Prof B L Raina, Bushan Lal Koul, Bansi Razdan, Sunilji, G L Bhan, C L Zutshi, Ramji Raina, Bushan Lal Raina and others.
