RAJOURI, Apr 30: A youth was found murdered in Khawas area of Kalakote in district Rajouri today.
The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Mohammed Mushtaq, son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Morha Keri Kanala in Khawas area. The youth went missing mysterious last evening. He did not return home last night.
The family members got worried over his mysterious missing and started searching for him. The family members along with neighbours kept searching for him during night hours but failed to trace him. The family also contacted their some relatives to ascertain whether he had gone to their house.
Today morning, a villager noticed his body lying on a Kucha track near village Damlerh in Khawas area under Kalakote. He informed villagers of the area. The matter was reported to Kalakote police. The police party examined the spot and the body. The deceased had sustained head injury on his back and other parts of the body.
The body was shifted to Kalakote hospital for postmortem. Since the doctor was not available there today, the body was then shifted tom District Hospital, Rajouri. It was then handed over to the family for last rites.
The police said that it seems to be the case of murder but at this stage inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been launched. The case would be worked out shortly, the police said.
