FCS&CAD books 24 traders

JAMMU, May 3: Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department (FCS&CAD) today booked 24 traders for various offences under LPG Control order 2000, price Display Act and Consumer Protection Act and a fine of Rs 16300.00 was realized from the defaulters on spot.
The traders were also directed to avoid the use of domestic gas cylinders for commercial purposes and display the rate list at their shops properly failing which action under law be  initiated against the defaulters.
The team of the Department officers on the directions of Director FCS&CAD headed by Joginder Singh Assistant Director Enforcement FCS&CAD Jammu under the supervision of Deputy Director Supplies Jammu conducted market checking in Narwal Bala, Nanak Nagar and Railway Station area and checked 250 business establishments.
The other members of the team included area inspectors Ramesh Kumar, Yougesh Kumar, Dewan Singh and Vishwa Miter.
