JAMMU, May 4: BJP State president & MLA Sat Sharma chaired a review meeting with the officials of ERA, UEED and JMC about progress of the ongoing works in the Jammu West Assembly Constituency along with other senior leaders of BJP.
He asked the officials to pen down a road map for the development works so that all the projects could be completed at the earliest.
While addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma said that PM Narendra Modi-led Central Government is very serious about the interests of public. Centre has started many schemes for the welfare of the poorest and weakest sections of society which needs to be augmented by the parallel efforts for the basic amenities by the various departments and the local Government.
He issued strict instructions to the officials concerned to mitigate the inconvenience caused to public due to the apathetic approach by the concerned departments. Taking a serious note of the delay in ongoing developmental works for sewerage & pipe and other works by ERA, UEED and JMC in various areas of Jammu West, he said that everybody has to perform or face action. Government as well as Public Sector are equally answerable to the voters regarding development of area, he added.
Taking stock of the situation, Sat Sharma sought details of the areas in which the works of new sewerage system and laying of new water pipes have been completed by the concerned department and directed them to speed up works in remaining areas at the earliest. He asked them to compile a list of lanes, roads and other works that need immediate attention so that no stone be left unturned to end the miseries of the public.
